The Edgewood Town court is open Monday through Thursday. Office hours are 8:30 – 3:30 p.m. Trials are held each Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. except for the 3^rd Tuesday of each month due to a Town Hall Meeting and any holidays. Initial hearings are held on Thursdays at 5:00 p.m.

 

All fines must be paid by certified funds (money order or cashier’s check). The court does not accept cash or personal checks. All infractions may be paid in lieu of a court appearance as long as they are paid PRIOR to the court date, except any speeding ticket that is 26 mph + over the speed limit and you must appear before the Judge.

 

Failure to pay a fine or appear will automatically result in a $25.00 late fee assessed pursuant to Town Ordinance. If the Court suspends your license for failure to appear or pay, an additional $25.00 reinstatement fee will be assessed pursuant to Town Ordinance. Contempt of court charges will also be applied on any failure to appear ($167.00). Only the Judge can waive fines/costs and those cases will be heard on any Thursday evening. You must call the Court to be placed on the docket, if you need to see the Judge on the issue. Failure to appear on any misdemeanor will result in a warrant for your arrest.
