Water/Sewer Superintendent: Thomas Brewer
Water Service
Water service is provided by the town to all residences. Our water comes from three wells, is filtered to remove rust and iron, and fluoridated to State Board of Health standards. We require a deposit of $150 for homes and businesses to begin service.

Wastewater Service
We maintain sewer service, with wastewater treated by the Anderson City Sewage Plant. Sewage is billed on the water bill and based on the quantity of water used. All Edgewood residences must be connected to the public sewage system. If the system is not available to a home, the owner must receive a permit from the Superintendent to construct a private sewage system. Discharges of substances that can create a hazard to life, be considered a public nuisance, or are not acceptable for treatment by the City of Anderson are prohibited.
Billing
Residents have only one meter which is read remotely. We read outside water meters monthly, and mail bills on the 25th day of the following month. Inside meters are read annually, and inside and outside meter readings are reconciled, with the inside meter considered to be the true reading.
Bills may be paid at the Clerk-Treasurer’s office in the Town Hall Monday-Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or deposited in the drop box located next to the driveway of the Town Hall.
Due to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus), the Edgewood Town Hall, Office of the Clerk-Treasurer, and Water-Sewer Department will be closed to the Public until May 18, 2020. The date might be extended depending upon direction from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Please place your water-sewer bill in the silver drop box in front of the town hall. If you have cash, please get a money order and place it in the drop box. If you have any questions or need to speak with someone in the water-sewer department please call our office at 765-649-5534.
The Town bills water and sewer monthly. The monthly usage amount will be billed and mailed by the 10th of the following month and is due on or before the 21st of the same month.
There is a new water and sewer bill depository located in front of the Town Hall that is a drive up drop box, so in the cold winter months you don’t even have to get out of your car.
